Lights, cameras, action! Hollywood is coming to Little Compton.

Crews filming M. Night Shyamalan’s new film, “Remain,” are expected in Adamsville Friday and later, Sakonnet Point. Work is also set for next Monday and Friday, June 27, after filming in Warren.

Shyamalan, the director and screenwriter behind “The Sixth Sense” and “Unbreakable,” is working on the film with screenwriter Nicholas Sparks, of “The Notebook” fame. A romantic thriller, the film is based on Sparks' book of the same name. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal, “Bridgerton” and star Phoebe Dynevor, and is due to be released by Warner Brothers in the fall of 2026.

The new film isn't Little Compton's only recent cinematic coup. The Kinnane Brothers film production company, run out of Adamsville by eight brothers, recently announced that their first film "Solo Mio" — written, directed, edited and executive produced by the brothers and released by Angel Studios — is set to hit theaters nationwide next February. It stars Kevin James, Alyson Hannigan and Jonathan Roumie.
