Letter: New Year’s Resolution? Thank the scientists

Posted

To the editor:

Dr. Anthony Fauci has dedicated his long life to protecting us all from deadly viruses, including ebola, HIV, and COVID-19. Our nation’s New Year’s Resolution should be to honor him lavishly for his selfless and determined and successful work on our behalf. The Fox crowd and elected officials who know better should shut up about Fauci’s being evil. These miscreants include Cruz, Jordan, and DeSantis. They do know better but have no shame about their baldfaced lies about Dr. Fauci. Their lies have caused COVID-19 infections, hospitalizations, and indeed many deaths of their own gullible constituents. Trump got away with the same lunacy.

Perhaps the new year could be a time for a reset and a return to truth, service to others, and a tip of the cap to the many Faucis in all levels of government who work faithfully and patiently and humbly for us all. This cannot be too much to ask. Happy New Year.
