How can we give away our ability to keep our town center in Little Compton?
The historic Odd Fellows Hall is not the place for affordable housing!
Where is space for sewerage, water and parking? The center of town is not for housing.
Once we give it away, we can never get it back and the town loses control over this historic building.
Suggesting the downstairs in the Odd Fellows Hall could be for the senior center and should only be temporary. Please give the seniors their own place. The old fire station could accommodate their needs. I know this is costly but maintaining and utilizing our present building should be key to keeping history alive in the center of town.
We are proud of our town and it's history. Don't ruin our town center; keep it beautiful.
