Little Compton police logs: Dog at large arrest

Police were asked to assist after a vehicle collided with a deer on South Nanaquaket Road in Tiverton at 6:55 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 23

Police were asked to do a well-being check at a Taylors Lane home just after 8 a.m. The person in question was fine.

Friday, Oct. 25

Police received a complaint from Bernard Lane at 10 a.m. They did not specify the nature.

Police received a complaint from Pottersville Road at 10:20 a.m. They did not specify the nature.

Saturday, Oct. 26

Police were asked for assistance on Oak Forest Drive at 10:26 a.m.

A resident reported seeing a dark-colored SUV headed east on Peck Ham Road at 7:08 p.m., with front end damage, a flat tire and sparks coming off a rim. They searched with no luck and also contacted police in Tiverton and Westport.

Sunday, Oct. 27

Scott B. Snell, 60, of 28B Pottersville Road, was charged with having a nuisance dog, first offense, after a dog complaint came in from Pottersville Road at 9:56 a.m.

In a 7:22 p.m. complaint from Sakonnet Point Road, a resident was said to be intoxicated, refused to be driven home and left in a Jeep.
