Little Compton police logs: Two deer/car collisions

Monday, Nov. 4

A caller from Peckham Road reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 10:27 a.m.

Jorge Xante, 35, of 15 Joslin St., Providence, was charged with driving without a license after police pulled him over on Crandall Road at 3:35 p.m.

An animal complaint came in from Colebrook Road at 4:36 p.m.

A car collided with a deer on West Main Road, between Meeting House and Sakonnet Point, at 7:42 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

Police got a complaint that a juvenile was riding a dirt bike and doing wheelies along Crandall Road. Police spoke to the juvenile and a parent.

Thursday, Nov. 7

A larceny, forgery or fraud call came in from Long Highway at 11:16 a.m.

Friday, Nov. 8

A dog complaint came in from Pottersville Road at 3:53 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 9

A caller from Colebrook Road alerted police to a rabid raccoon. Police arrived at about 4 p.m. and dispatched the animal at 4:16 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 11

An Old Harbor Road caller complained of vandalism just after 11 a.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 12

A Quoquonsett Lane caller reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 2:54 p.m.

A caller reported an erratic driver heading south on South Lake Road at 3:34 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

A caller from Main Street complained about a juvenile on a dirt bike doing wheelies at the Adamsville baseball field.

Thursday, Nov. 15

A caller from Maple Avenue reported a suspicious vehicle just before 11 a.m.

A car collided with a deer on Long Highway at 5:48 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 16

A dog found along Pottersville Road at 12:20 p.m. was brought to the West Place Animal Sanctuary in Tiverton. Subsequently, Steven M. West, 63, of 99B Pottersville Road, was charged with a bylaw violation regarding the leashing of dogs, second offense.
