Marc R. Plante, 59, Tiverton

Marc R. Plante, 59, passed away peacefully Monday, May 24, 2021, at his home in Tiverton surrounded by family.

Marc was a graduate of University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a founding Principal of Building Engineering Resources, Inc. dedicating over 30 years of service to the field.

Marc was most happy when gardening, tinkering around the house fixing odds and ends, spending a day out at sea on his boat with family, and gathering around one of his infamous bonfires with family and friends. Marc also enjoyed his time traveling Europe, specifically the countryside of Ireland and England.  Marc will be remembered most for his positivity, kindness and dedication to his family.

Marc leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Lisa (Clement) Plante; two children, Jennifer (Plante) Wilbur and Evan Plante, and their spouses Michael Wilbur and Lauren (Sabra) Plante; brother Pierre Plante, sister Denise Haag, sister Monique Plante, and brother Jacques Plante. Marc is the son of Andre Plante and the late Jacqueline (Gagnon) Plante.  The light of his life were his three grandsons, Calvin, Lucas and Henry.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, June 2, from 10 am-12 pm, with a funeral service at 12 noon at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St. Fall River.
