At 6:59 am, a Lake Road resident called to report that his house had been broken into overnight.

Police and rescue responded to a 3:12 pm 911 call about a possible hazardous material on Ferreira Drive. A UPS driver touched a package with leaking fluid and became dizzy and nauseous. The driver was taken to St. Anne’s Hospital. RI DEM along with East Providence and North Kingstown hazmat crews responded.

A 911 caller brought police to Willow Tree Road at 9:50 pm for two men fighting — one intoxicated, one has a cane. 

A Lyft driver on Main Road called about an unresponsive passenger on Main Road at 9:51 pm. Narcan was administered successfully.

A caller complained of people shooting off fireworks at Grinnell’s Beach at 11:12 pm.

Wednesday, June 30

Police were called to the casino for a disorderly man at a gaming table at 5:44 am. The man had left when police arrived.

Jaryd J. Tavares, 31, of Fall River, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of liquor, blood alcohol concentration unknown, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and possession of marijuana (more than one ounce) at 2:26 am at the Tiverton Casino.

A box truck took down Cox Cable wires on Pierce Avenue at 8:48 am.

Police and rescue were called to the area of 495 Stafford Road for a two-vehicle crash art 4:21 pm. One person was taken to St. Anne’s Hospital.

A 911 caller reported that he was shot in the back with a BB gun by someone in a grey colored passing car near Dollar General on Stafford Road.

Callers complained of fireworks being set off in the area of Alicia Circle and Stafford Road at 9:16 pm. “No fireworks, just lightning,” an officer reported.

Thursday, July 1

Selvin K. Chambers, 26, of Hyde Park, Mass, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of liquor, blood alcohol concentration unknown, refusal to submit to a chemical test, obstructing a police officer, and driving with a suspended license at 4:19 am on Route 24 south.

Numerous vehicles were broken into and items stolen overnight on Hooper Street, Lepes Road, Judson Street, Cliff Street, Hilton Street and Mill Street.

Police were notified that someone on Stafford Road is setting off fireworks daily.

A large tree was reported in the Palmer Avenue roadway at 6:33 pm

At 8:26 pm, police were called about two ATVs on the Indian Trail in Weetamooo Woods.

Robert DeCotis, 55, of 26 Cliff St., Tiverton, was arrested on charges of domestic disorderly conduct and reckless driving at 8:44 pm at the police station.

Friday, July 2

Police were asked to check on a 30-foot motor home by Sawdy Pond that is either abandoned or someone is living in it.

At 10:05 pm, police went to East Road for a loud party. The homeowner turned the music down.

Saturday, July 3

Julia Angelini, 23, of Somerset, Mass., was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of liquor, blood alcohol concentration of .15 percent or more, and narcotics possession at 1:28 am on Route 24 north.

Fireworks were reported in the area of Carl Drive at 8:08 pm; at 8:48 pm in the area of Sheldon Street, and at 10:28 pm at Fogland Beach.

Sunday, July 4

Jose Ramon Carrasquillo Rivera, 24, of Fall River, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of liquor, .15 percent of greater, at 2:07 am on Route 24 north.

Police checked out reports of people fishing on docks at Schooner Drive (9:01 am), and Bay Street (9:25 am).

A caller complained about a dirt bike event off Brayton Road at 10:49 am.

Antone J. Silva, 39, of 185 Stafford Road, Tiverton, was arrested on a charge of sale, use or possession of fireworks at 9:42 pm on Stafford Road.

Fireworks complaints were received from Campion Drive (8:39 pm), Hooper Street and Mill Street (8:41 pm), Kearns Avenue (8:45 pm), Grinnell’s Beach (8:47 pm, Stafford Road (8:48 pm), Farnsworth Avenue and Highland Road (8:59 pm), Restful Valley Road (9:06 pm), Stafford Road (9:14 pm), Cottrell Apartments, Main Road (9:17 pm), East Road and East DeMello Road (9:26 pm), Hambly Road and Massey Road (9:29 pm),  Narragansett Avenue ((9:31 pm), Hancock Street (9:32 pm), East Road (9:33 pm), and Highland Road (9:41 pm),

At 9:22 pm, people shooting guns were reported on King Road.

Two trash cans were set on fire at the Bulgarmarsh Road Recreation Area softball field at 9:55 pm.

“Loud banging, stomping all day” was reported at Bourne Mill Apartments at 11:07 pm.

Monday, July 5

Stephanie E. Quinlan, 31, of Fairhaven, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of liquor, blood alcohol concentration unknown, and refusal to submit to a chemical test at 12:29 pm on Main Road.

Dionel Santos, 23, of Providence, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of liquor,  blood alcohol concentration of .15 percent or greater, at 1:47 am on Route 24 north.

More fireworks complaints: Ferreira Drive (9:04 pm), Canionicus Street (9:07 pm), Grinnell’s Beach (9:24 pm and then at 11:35 pm).

Police assisted with a casino ejection at 10:48 pm.

Tuesday, July 6

Fireworks complaint on Bulgarmarsh Road at 12:20 am.

A car struck a guardrail on Route 24 north at 9:27 am breaking a guardrail cable and badly damaging the vehicle. There were no injuries.

Tuesday, July 6

A Cross Road caller reported a dog bite at 1:10 pm.

Patrick J. Gonsalves, 30,of Brockton, Mass., was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 2:50 pm at the Tiverton Casino.

A 911 caller reported an attempted burglary on Walnut Street at 3:16 pm — someone broke the door and left.

A motorist on East Road reported that his vehicle was hit by a rock thrown from a lawnmower.

Police were called to the Tiverton Casino at 5:27 pm to assist with an ejection.

At 5:40 pm, a Canonicus Street caller reported a man in the area wearing a gray sweatshirt but no pants. A person was transported to St. Anne’s Hospital.

A deer was struck and killed on Nanaquaket Road at 6:55 pm

An officer went to Bourne Mill Apartments at 8:30 pm for an ongoing neighbor dispute.
