Bristol Police officers beat their Warren brethren, students and teachers for title

Posted

A fun night with a bit of serious undertones was had at Mt. Hope High Thursday, May 1, when public safety personnel from both towns joined school students and teachers at the Warren Prevention Coalition’s Week of Wellness Dodgeball Tournament.

Teams representing the Warren and Bristol Police and Fire Departments matched their throwing and avoidance skills with those of the Huskies. In the end, the Bristol PD team beat the Mt. Hope squad for the title.

The event was the feature of the Warren Prevention Coalition’s Week of Wellness activities at MHHS. The week promotes better understanding and engagement of mental health and wellness issues as well and resilience resources. The dodgeball tournament brings together the towns' public safety personnel together with teens from each in an environment of teamwork and engagement.
