Steven Eric Church, 56, of Warren, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, at home. He was the husband of Gilda Fernanda (Pimentel) Church. They were happily married for 37 years.
Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Hector Clifford and Brenda (Rivers) Church.
Mr. Church had worked as a machinist at Nordson EFD for the last 15 years. He enjoyed playing darts, pool and golf. He was also a coach for his grandchildren’s T-Ball league in Warren. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and friends and helping others whenever they needed it.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Julie L. Sousa and her husband Scottie of Lincoln, RI, Lorna L. Church of Warren, RI and Elizabeth Sylvia and her husband Adam of Bristol, RI; a brother, David Church of St. Cloud, FL; two sisters, Brenda Church of Hope, RI and Cheryl Church of Riverside, RI; five grandchildren, Matthew, Elliana, Troy, Liam and Sierra; his step-mother, Ann (Holmes) Church of Rehoboth, MA; his mother-in-law, Blandina Pimentel of Warren, RI; and two stepbrothers, Joel and Daniel McCracken, both of Rehoboth, MA.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m.
Burial will be private.
