The following is a synopsis of Warren Police logs from Monday, Nov. 25-Saturday, Nov. 30:
Monday, Nov. 25
Warren Police officers responded to a handful of complaints beginning at around 9:30 in the morning on Vernon Street where a man reported being locked out of his apartment by a roommate. The man declined further assistance, however an officer on scene noted a no trespass order had been served.
On Greene Street at approximately 10:30 a.m., police answered an harassment call where neighbors in a multi-family residence were squabbling. The complainant did not wish to file charges at the time, but did indicate they would be seeking a restraining order in the near future.
Later in the day, at around 6 p.m. on Sowamsett Avenue, police intervened a civil dispute over the ownership of a dog. The caller was advised to obtain a no trespass order against the party attempting to take the canine.
WPD ended the day by making an arrest at approximately 11:27 p.m. on Wood Street. A caller alerted police she had received a call of her son running around his apartment building wielding a sword. Officers eventually arrested Jose M. Vasquez, 28, of 40 Montgomery Road, Pawtucket on charges of weapons other than firearms prohibited; disorderly conduct; threat to public official; and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned and later taken to Roger Williams Medical Center for evaluation.
Tuesday, Nov. 26
WPD answered a call of suspicious vehicle on Market Street at about 6 a.m. The caller indicated a camper was parked in the park. Upon arrival to the location, an officer was told by a party they were awaiting licensed driver to operate the motor home.
Wednesday, Nov. 27
A landlord of a property on Arlington Avenue arrived at WPD headquarters to report a dispute with a tenant. The landlord was attempting to enter the unit for evaluation. The landlord eventually formally posted a two-day notice on the front door of the apartment.
The day for the WPD concluded with an arrest at Metacom Avenue and Bee Jay Court around 11:30 p.m. following a motor vehicle stop. David Andrew Seddon, 29, of 2183 Amarillo Lane, Punta Gorda, Fla., was arrested on charges of DUI of liquor - blood alcohol concentration unknown - 1st offense; refusal to submit chemical test. He was later arraigned and released into the custody of a friend.
Thursday, Nov. 28
Thanksgiving began with a similar arrest following a motor vehicle stop around midnight at Metacom Avenue and Child Street. Justin Michael Rita, 41, of 359 Child Street, Apt. #123, Warren, was arrested on charges of DUI of liquor - blood alcohol concentration unknown - 1st offense; license required to drive; and refusal to submit chemical test. He was later arraigned and released into the custody of a friend.
Saturday, Nov. 30
Officers responded to disturbance calls from Seymour Street. A party said he was being followed by a man on foot. Both parties eventually reached their residences before officers arrived. Police reported only a verbal argument occurred.
