The following is a synopsis of Warren Police logs from Monday, Dec. 2-Saturday, Dec. 7:
Monday, Dec. 2
Warren Police officers responded to an animal complaint call on Serpentine Road at approximately 4 p.m., a report of three loose dogs in the area. The owner of the canines, who lives on the street, was located and advised of the situation.
Tuesday, Dec. 3
Following a motor vehicle stop at about 6 p.m. on Childs Street and Adams Street, a 40-year-old area man was arrested on a charge of being a fugitive from justice. Jonathan R. Braz of 335 Main St., Apt. # 2, Somerset, Mass., was arraigned and later transported to the Adult Correction Institution.
Wednesday, Dec. 4
WPD officers retrieved a prisoner from the Bristol Police Department headquarters on Metacom Avenue, who was picked up on a warrant for the following charges: domestic violence - criminal violation of no contact order - 1st offense; domestic violence - criminal violation of no contact order - 1st offense. Brandon Lake, 31, of 65 St. Elizabeth St., Apt #1st, Bristol, was arraigned and later transported to the ACI.
Thursday, Dec. 5
A town resident was arrested on charges of simple assault and/or battery and disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of a simple assault on Arlington Avenue at approximately 11:10 a.m. Upon arrival, officers reported a male party had been assaulted by a neighbor. Officers arrested Daniel A. Koehler, 36, of 78 Arlington Ave., Apt. #C, Warren. He was transported to WPD headquarters and later released.
Friday, Dec. 6
WPD was requested to look into a civil matter reported a local woman who visited headquarters to report her former New Hampshire license plates, which she sold with a vehicle may still be in use. The woman reported getting fines from the New Hampshire Bridge Toll Authority. Local officers determined the plates had been canceled and will send her paperwork to the NHBTA.
Responding to a miscellaneous complaint call at approximately 5 p.m., WPD responded to Wood Street where a report of trash cans remaining on the sidewalk 24 hours-plus after pick-up day. The officer found the sidewalk was still passible. The can were possibly blown by the wind from the side of the building. Note: ordinance only specifies placing trash out too early, not taking it in too late (sec 9-3).
Saturday, Dec. 7
WPD officers answered multiple calls of animal complaints from a Market Street location at about 2:50 p.m. Several loose dogs were reported in the area by two callers. One expressed additional concern about another dog chained up. The owner of the dogs was contacted and the canines were eventually secured inside.
