The following is a synopsis of the Warren Police logs from Monday, March 31, to Sunday, April 6:
Monday, March 31
A Warren man turned himself into police on an outstanding warrant facing domestic violence charges. Ryan A. Vasquez, 35, of 38 Wood St, Apt. #3FL, was arrested on charges of domestic violence - assault by strangulation; domestic violence - simple assault and/or battery - 1st offense; domestic violence - disorderly conduct - 1st offense.
Tuesday, April 1
Police arrested another Warren man on a charge of simple assault and/or battery. Justin D. Dubois, 44, of 10 Fatima Drive, was processed, arraigned and later released.
Wednesday, April 2
Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Market Street at approximately 10:30 a.m. involving a school bus. No injuries were reported. The drivers involved refused medical assistance. The roadway was blocked off for about 40 minutes to attend to gasoline and diesel fuel leaks. Tow trucks were called and the scene was cleared at 11:09 a.m.
A Warwick man was arrested on illicit drug charges after police responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Schoolhouse Road and Serpentine Road at about 7 p.m. Frederick E. Handy, 58, of 38 Amsterdam Ave., Warwick, was charged with possession of cocaine - 1st offense; possession of a schedule i to v controlled substance - 1st offense. The suspect was processed, arraigned and later released.
Thursday, April 3
A town resident was taken into custody upon police arriving to the scene of a disturbance call from Metacom Avenue at just after 3:30 p.m. Two males were reported fighting in the parking lot of the location. Michael J. Kittell, 38, of 20 Libby Lane, Warren, was charged with disorderly conduct for his participation in the incident. He was later released on his own recognizance and issued a no trespass order.
Sunday, April 6
Responding to a call of suspicious activity from Kickemuit Road at just before 1:30 p.m., police determined it was a case of misunderstanding modern technology. The subject claimed to have been the victim of some sort of tracking devise. Upon arrival, an officer determined it was an "air tag" placed on the party's keychain because the person was "always losing her keys."
Police responded to a call of a suspicious person on Joyce Street at just before midnight. Police arrived to find a party who appeared to be is distress. The officer at the scene reported subject stated he was "startled by a female on the bike path wearing a mask and leg warmers" south near Franklin Street. Police checked the scene and were unable to locate the alleged perpetrator.
