Alberta M. Lavoie, 88, Westport

Alberta M. (Sylvia) Lavoie, 88, of Westport, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Carvalho Grove Health and Rehabilitation in Fall River.  She was the wife of Fernand U. Lavoie.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Dutra) Sylvia, she had lived in Westport since 1962.  Prior to retirement, she was a school bus driver for many years in the Town of Westport. 

Mrs. Lavoie was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport, where she was a member of the Young at Heart Club.  She was also a member of the former Royal Travelers.

Including her husband, she is survived by three sons, Gregory A. Lavoie and his wife Del of Westport, Mark F. Lavoie and his wife Patricia of Middleboro and Lance Lavoie of Westport; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

Private arrangements were held under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101.
