Eunice L Durfee, 98, Tiverton

Eunice L. (Tripp) Durfee, 98, of Tiverton, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Henry C. "Cory" Durfee, Jr.

Mrs. Durfee was born in Westport, daughter of the late Isaac Tripp, Jr. and the late Barbara (Manchester) Tripp, and had been a long-time resident of Tiverton. In her earlier years, she worked as a lab technician for the former American Thread Co., Fall River, and prior to her retirement, she worked as a cook for the former Sunderland's Restaurant, Tiverton. She was also secretary for the Hillside Cemetery, Tiverton. Mrs. Durfee was a member of the Amicable Congregational Church, Tiverton, where she was well-known for her hand-knitted prayer shawls and cranberry squares.

Survivors include her son: David C. Durfee and his wife Rosalie of Tiverton; her daughter: Marjorie A. Noonan and her husband Tim of E. Alstead, NH; two brothers: Isaac A. Tripp of Westport and Randall Tripp of Fall River; sister: June M. Hebert of Westport; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was grandmother of the late Brittany N. Fazzina and Timothy W. Noonan, Jr. and sister of the late Harvey B. Tripp, Grover J. Tripp, Ruth M. Norton, Barbara Ann Carreiro, Wendell Tripp and Calvin F. Tripp.

Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, MA 02790. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Tiverton.
