Head of Westport landmark hits the market

Posted

The owners of the Head Town Landing Country Store at 488 Old County Road have put their landmark riverside spot up for sale. The asking price: $1.25 million. Kathy and Rory Couturier have owned the property since 2008, and spent years working to restore the old bungalow into what they hoped would look and feel more like an old-time country store that stood there in the 1950s. Rory’s family spent summers in Westport and the goal, he and Kathy wrote on their site, was to make the landing store “a gathering place for families to come and enjoy all the Head has to offer.” Equity Real Estate has the listing.
