John P. "Jack" King, 80, of Westport, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.  He was husband of Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Pelletier.

Born in Fall River, son of the late John W. and Anna (Lysyj), he had lived in the Westport/Somerset area for most of his life. He was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and UMass Dartmouth BS, MBA. He served his country as a Private First Class in the United States Army.  Mr. King was a former Communicant of St. Thomas More Church, Somerset, prior to moving to Westport.  Prior to retirement, he was a project manager at Raytheon and then worked for New Bedford Association Affiliates Investors. He loved sailing and boating. Mr. King was a member of the Westport Yacht Club where he served on the Executive Board for consecutive terms as well on the Audit Committee. He also served as chairperson for several years.

Including his wife, he is survived by an aunt: Cathrine Custy; and cousins: Joan Whitty, Patricia Donaldson, Cathy Costa, Edward King, Nancy Gordon, Steven King, Susan Lagasse, Eileen Danis, John Custy, Patty Custy and Michael Williams.

Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, October 25, 2021 at St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Avenue, Somerset, MA 02726 at 11:30 A.M.

Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, County St., Somerset, MA 02726.

At the family's request, calling hours are respectfully omitted.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial donations may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport.
