Little Compton Police: Numerous accidental 911 calls
Monday, March 29
A resident called at 2:53 pm to report that a family member had received a Medicare scam phone call.
At 4:14 pm, police were notified that a vehicle being driven erratically on South of Commons Road had almost struck two walkers.
Tuesday, March 30
Katrina N. Cafarella, 18, of 27 Friendship Farm Lane, was arrested on charges of domestic simple assault and domestic vandalism. Little Compton Police and Rescue, with backup from Tiverton Police, were called to that address at 3:25 am for a report of a person threatening others in the household with a knife. Six minutes late police reported that the person was disarmed — no injuries.
Wednesday, March 31
A 10:42 pm 911 call from East View Drive proved to have been accidental.
Thursday, April 1
A 9:10 am 911 call from Hoot Owl Lane turned out to been the result of a landline malfunction.
A Westport motorist was cited for driving with a suspended license after a motor vehicle stop on Main Street at Colebrook Road at 5:47 pm.
Police received a 911 call from a West Main Road address at 8:46 pm but when they checked the house appeared to be vacant.
Saturday, April 3
A car struck a deer at the north end of John Dyer Road at 6:31 am.
A wallet was found outside Wilbur’s Store at 5:06 pm.
A Providence driver was cited for driving with a suspended license following a motor vehicle stop on West Main Road at the town line at 5:13 pm.
Police and rescue responded to a 911 call from a West Main Road residence at 6:22 pm but the call was accidental.
