Polly Harrison, 77, Westport

Sox fan's dinner parties were legendary

Posted

Polly A. (Parsons) Harrison, 77, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at St. Anne's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Gordon F. and Jean E. (Smith) Parsons.

Ms. Harrison was born in upstate New York and had been a lifelong resident of Westport. She graduated from Westport High School and Southeastern Mass Technical Institute (now UMass Dartmouth). All who knew her will recall her as a rabid Boston Red Sox fan and New England Patriots supporter.

Polly’s skills in the kitchen were second to none. Her dinner parties were the stuff of legend. She loved to make others laugh; no one told a joke better than she or was willing to laugh at themselves more readily. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren, with whom she spent many magical hours playing word games and telling stories.

Survivors include her son, Michael G. Harrison and his wife Sonia Pacheco of N. Dartmouth; her daughter, Sarah H. Leppert and her husband Drew of Reynolds,GA; a brother, David G. Parsons of Yardley, PA; five grandchildren, Alex, Olivia, Piper, Levi and J.D.; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were held under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, MA 02790.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Allen's Neck Friends Meeting, 739 Horseneck Rd., Dartmouth, MA 02748.

He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
