SEEKONK — The Seekonk Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the suspect in an early-morning alleged armed robbery of a convenience store in town.
According to the report of SPD Captain Matthew Jardine, during the early morning hours of Saturday, April 25, multiple police units responded to Crossroads Convenience Store, located at 822 Fall River Ave., Route 114A, for the report of an armed robbery.
A white male entered the store, approached the cashier and demanded money. He claimed to be carrying a firearm and was “not afraid to use it.” The suspect had fled prior to police arrival.
The offender is described as a white male, approximately 5’10”, short dark hair, medium build, possibly in his thirties, with pierced ears. The suspect vehicle is described as a light-blue colored Hyundai sedan with unknown Rhode Island plates. In-store security surveillance footage showed the man wearing a surgical mask, a black baseball cap backwards, a black sweatshirt with gray sleeves, blue jeans and Converse Chuck Taylor black sneakers.
