Marine services director Chris Leonard has resigned his post, effective Wednesday, July 2.
Leonard held the job for 10 years and worked with the harbor department in other roles for years prior. He said last week that while he has loved his time with the town, he is looking for new opportunities, and for more time with his young family.
“It’s time,” he said.
Members of the select board accepted his resignation Monday evening and the position has been posted. Said chairwoman Shana Teas of his departure: “This is a sad one.”
