Rose (Natale) Karouz, 80, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence on Nov. 26, 2016. Born in New York City on Feb. 28, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela (Caromile) Natale.

Rose is survived by her loving daughter, Roseann Dugan; her granddaughter, Ashley Dugan; one grandson, Christopher Dugan; one great-grandson, Jackson Quattrucci; her siblings, Peter Natale and Annette Ianniello; and many special nieces and nephews.

Rose lived most of her life in Bristol, where she established The June Rose Beauty Boutique in Warren, and operated it for many years. Many local hairdressers got their start and training at The June Rose Boutique. Rose also lived in Florida for a short period, where she operated other beauty salons before moving back to R.I.

She spent her later years caring for her grandchildren and hairdressing at Senior Living Centers. Rose loved to go out dancing with her girlfriends and spend time with her beloved dog, Lulu. Above all else, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her great-grandson, Jackson.

A funeral for Rose will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 127 State St., Bristol, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be held Thursday morning, 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JDRF Diabetes Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY.
