Bristol PD delight local lemonade vendors

Posted

Bristol Police officers Barry Carinha and Derek Jensen delighted two local kids selling lemonade on Bayview Ave this past Thursday.

Carson and Aria Terra, ages 6 and 8 respectively, have been setting up a lemonade stand near their home to finance a special gift for themselves during an annual end of summer trip to New Hampshire, their mom, Justine, told the Phoenix. This year, they got a sweet surprise when the two officers strolled up and chatted with them while enjoying a cup.

“My son said to me afterwards, ‘Mommy, I thought we were in trouble,” Justine said with a laugh discussing the delightful interaction a few days later. “We’re thankful they stopped. It made their day. It’s so nice to have that kind of presence in town.”

Many dozens of commenters who posted on the Bristol Police Department’s Facebook post (which garnered nearly 1,000 likes) chronicling the occasion agreed.

“Bristol PD is the best,” wrote Ruthie Lombardi. “These two children will always remember your kindness.”
