Bristol Police arrest one person for narcotics, send another to ACI

Bristol Police made a handful of arrests from Dec. 7 to 13, including one for possession of narcotics and another for violating protective orders.

Monday, Dec. 7

An officer responded to the area of Tilbury and Annawamscutt drives at 10:37 a.m. to investigate a pink/blue tree marking tape that led into a trail in the woods. The officer confirmed the tape was some kind of survey tape — not markings for a hunting tree stand.

Officers responded to Bay View Avenue at 7:30 p.m. to intervene in a roommate dispute.

Officers were called to State Street at 8:34 p.m. to help quell a domestic argument.

A Wall Street resident complained that her ex-husband was harassing her via phone and text messages.

Tuesday, Dec. 8

A Mulberry Road resident reported possible Social Security fraud.

A Wood Street resident reported a package stolen.

Officers responded to investigate a report of a suspicious man in the area of High and Burton streets at 8:46 p.m. There were no problems found.

Officers were called about a verbal argument on Peck Avenue at 11:03 p.m. The woman involved in the incident left before they arrived.

Wednesday, Dec. 9

At 12:37 a.m., a resident reported suspicious activity at a home in the area of Sowams and Primrose drives. They reported vehicles pulling up to the residence with the lights off, people walking up to the front door and then leaving the area. A short time later, at 1 a.m., police received another complaint that led to the arrest of Roger L. Martins, 36, of 22 Primrose Drive, Bristol. He was charged with possession of narcotics.

At 8:43 a.m., Stephanie Lepore, 40, of 189 State St., Apt. 2, Bristol, was arrested on a warrant and charged with larceny under $1,500, obstructing an officer and conspiracy.

Officers responded to a laundromat on State Street at 5:22 p.m. after receiving a complaint about a patron refusing to wear a mask. When they arrived, it was resolved and everyone was wearing a mask.

Officers were called to a domestic disturbance on Reliance Drive at 11:49 p.m. There were no further problems.

Thursday, Dec. 10

Officers were called to an argument between neighbors on Mt. Hope Avenue at 8:25 a.m.

An officer advised a dog owner to keep the canine off the fields at the town sports complex at 12:07 p.m.

Officers responded to DeWolf Avenue, where there was a smokey open burning at 5:41 p.m. The resident was advised to douse the flames.

A Center Street resident reported finding black jeans, a T-shirt and a black leather jacket on their back porch at 11:40 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 11

A Gladding Street resident reported a past assault at 1:46 p.m.

Police notified DEM after receiving a report that two men had entered a wooded area off Roosevelt Drive with bows and arrows at 2:08 p.m.

Officers responded to Quito’s Shellfish on Thames Street at 6:41 p.m. to investigate an escalated verbal argument. There were no arrests.

Officers dispersed someone from Wood Street after a complaint at 11:12 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 12

An officer spoke to a resident on Primrose Drive at 9:34 a.m. after receiving a complaint about banging from the downstairs apartment.

A caller reported a woman knocking on the windows of a Wood Street residence at 8:54 p.m. A patrolman responded and found the woman was trying to make contact with a friend who lives in the building.

Sunday, Dec. 13

Officers investigated after someone reported hearing gun shots in the wooded area off Spring Street at 7:59 a.m. It turned out to be duck hunters who were legally hunting offshore.

An officer spoke to a homeowner who had an open burning on Harrison Street at 12:13 p.m.

Officers dispersed a woman from the area of Bayview and Thompson after a receiving a complaint about her suspicious behavior at 1:06 p.m.

An animal control officer warned a dog owner who was letting the dog run loose on a baseball field at the town sports complex off Asylum road at 3:30 p.m.

Shortly after 4 p.m., officers arrested Derek J. Bouchard, 33, of 62 Catherine St., Bristol, on a warrant. He was charged with violation of a protective order, third offense. He was arraigned at the station by a justice of the peace and then transported to the ACI.

Officers responded to a High Street apartment at 8:16 p.m. after reports of loud banging coming from inside. They investigated and called rescue to the scene for an intoxicated woman. She was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
