The annual Miss and Little Miss Fourth of July Pageant is on Saturday, May 26, at 7 p.m. at the Mt. Hope High School Performing Arts Center, Chestnut Street.
Thirteen young ladies between the ages of 16 and 20 will vie for the title of Miss Fourth of July 2018, and 15 girls ages 7 to 9 will compete for the Little Miss Fourth of July crown.
The pageant will begin with a dance routine performed by the contestants. Students from The Ballet Center will perform two dance selections during the show.
Olivia Borgia, Miss Fourth of July 2017, and Angela Pirri, Little Miss Fourth of July 2017, will lead the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by soloist Victoria Carroll. Mistress of ceremonies for the evening is Mary Lou Palumbo.
Each contestant will be judged in three categories: private interviews with four judges, poise/appearance, and response to a question on stage.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $8 for children ages 10 and under and will be available at the door.
