Historic 135 Ferry Road has been demolished

Posted

The historic home at 135 Ferry Road faced the fate feared by many local preservationists on Tuesday afternoon, as an excavator broke down the home that was originally built in the mid-19th century.

A few people looked on as the destruction commenced. The house falls outside the protections of the downtown historic district, and was demolished despite efforts to coerce the private homeowners to reconsider.
