Mathew P. DePasquale, 37, of Bristol passed away on Monday Sept. 10, 2018, at home. He was a son of Philip S. and Ginny (Godet) DePasquale.
He was a school teacher with NAFI in the Pawtucket school system. Mat was raised in Warren and was a graduate of Mt. Hope High School and Rhode Island College with a degree in special education. He had a natural gift for nurturing his students. He was an assistant football coach at Mt. Hope High School. He loved sports and also coached Pop Warner football.
He was a resident of Bristol for the past five years. Besides his parents, he had one brother, Peter DePasquale of Bristol; and a sister, the late Bethany DePasquale. He was the paternal grandson of Philip J. DePasquale and the late Margherita DePasquale. His maternal grandparents were the late John and Eileen Godet. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and a niece, Layla.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, Sept. 15 in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St., Warren. Burial was private. Services were provided by Smith Funeral and Memorial Services in Warren. See www.wjsmithfh.com.
