The Rockwell Elementary School PTO put on a beach bash to be remembered at the Town Beach last Friday evening to celebrate the end of the school year — the first such celebration that has been possible since the pandemic began. Disney tunes and games in the sand under a pristine sunny sky provided plenty of ambiance for the party, and food served up from the team at the Portside Tavern didn’t disappoint. Around 500 people had registered for the event, according to Heidi Vermilyea, one of the lead organizers.
