Join East Bay Events and Neverland Children's Theatre for a tour de force of local talent. Show off your skills for a chance to win fabulous prizes including the title of East Bay Rising Star! East Bay Rising Stars is a talent competition for kids grades 4-8 & 9-12.

Contestants have the option to submit an audition DVD via mail, an audition link to a video via email or audition in person. The "tickets" for the in-person audition are segmented into time slots, essentially reserving an audition time.

Competition Guidelines:
1. East Bay Rising Stars will be judged in two categories: Grades 4-8 and Grades 9-12
2. Acts are required to keep the performance at three minutes or less. Acts running longer than three minutes are subject to possible disqualification or point deduction. This will be at the judge’s discretion. Keep the act at three minutes please. Set-up time is not included. Please try to limit set-up time to one minute.
3. Acts are asked to not dance onto or off the stage. After introductions, you may take any position you wish to begin your performance.
4. Vocalists can perform with an accompanist or CD/Ipod. Prerecorded tracks should be instrumental only. Any prerecorded track with backing vocals is not allowed, and the act will be disqualified.
5. Professionals are NOT permitted to compete. This includes Union musicians and anyone whose principal source of income is from their talent. Compensation for performing at weddings, etc. does not constitute principle source of income.
6. Foul language is not allowed in the East Bay Rising Stars. Acts performing to or singing pieces with inappropriate lyrics will be disqualified.
7. Acts will need name, complete address, birth date, age, phone number (include area code), email and type of talent. Multiple acts need one member to act as a contact person with all information going through them. Additional members of the act need only birth date, age, and town.
Video Auditions will be accepted via mail or email, deadline is April 12. NOTE: Videos are too large to email. A link to the video must be provided when emailing. Email links to events@eastbaynewspapers.com or mail DVD to East Bay Rising Stars, 1 Bradford St., Bristol, RI 02809 — $5.00 auditon fee
9. Judges will narrow down the entries to the top 12 in each category.
