Huskies lacrosse falls to Prout in D-II semis, 10-7

EAST GREENWICH—The Huskies lacrosse team played catch up all game and closed the gap to 9-7 in the fourth quarter before falling 10-7 to Division II leader Prout in a semifinals game at East Greenwich on Wednesday night. Mt. Hope ended the season with a 10-6 record, 8-5 in Division II.

Stephen Serbst scored 3 goals for Mt. Hope, Max Moskala had 2 goals and Caleb Dorgan and Jeremy Serbst each scored 1 goal. Goalkeeper Cam Rancourt recored 9 saves.

Prout jumped out to a 7-3 lead in the first half. The Huskies stiffened up their defense and scored 4 in the second half, trailing 9-7, before Prout scored on Rancourt with three minutes left to give them a 10-7 lead and the victory.
