Skies clearing for Warren cleanup Saturday

Posted

It’s been a long winter and the rain is ending. Now it’s time for some spring cleaning.

Warren will hold its 25th annual Earth Day cleanup this Saturday. Put on by the Warren Conservation Commission and Dunkin Donuts, the cleanup starts at 9 a.m. at the Pete Sepe Pavilion on Asylum Road. From there, volunteers will branch out across town, cleaning rubbish from the shoreline, roads and everywhere else it has accumulated. To get involved, sign in at the pavilion, pick up T-shirts and bags, and head out. Those who take part will get free coffee and donuts in the morning, and a hot dog roast follows at noon.

Last year, volunteers collected several tons of junk from across town, with dozens taking part.
