PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent highlights from the Portsmouth Police Report:

Monday, April 15

Bryan W. Dewitt, 34, of 30 Potter St., Newport, was charged with driving without an active license, his fourth and subsequent offense. Dewitt was pulled over for an equipment violation on West Main Road at Mail Coach Road at about 1:15 a.m., police said. He was issued a 2nd District Court summons and released from the scene.

Marcos Castro De La Cruz, 41, of 16 Packard Ave., Warwick, was charged with operating a vehicle under a foreign license that had been suspended or revoked. He was pulled over on Route 24 shortly before 8 a.m. because his vehicle’s front window had a dark tint, police said. He was issued a District Court summons and released.

Tuesday, April 16

Lavonne Irene Nordby, 73, Quaker Estates, was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct following an incident at the town’s public housing complex. Officers responded to Apt. G2 at the complex, located at 2368 East Main Road, shortly before 3:30 p.m. after getting a report of an alleged assault and disturbance, police said. While speaking with “involved parties and witnesses on the scene,” officers established probable cause to arrest Nordby of that address, according to police. She was arraigned by a justice of the peace at 5:25 p.m., according to police.

Thursday, April 18

Ryan R. DeBlois, 43, of 109 Cottage Ave., was charged with disorderly conduct (fighting/tumultuous behavior) at about 9:30 p.m. According to police, officers responded to Tremblay’s Island Park Bar & Grill, 514 Park Ave., to investigate a report of a man acting disorderly outside the business. Upon their arrival, officers determined that DeBlois had thrown alcohol at the business, kicked over two mailboxes, and yelled at nearby patrons, police said. He was held at the police station pending his arraignment.

Saturday, April 20

John Ogarro, 46, of 189 John St., Fall River, was charged with operating a vehicle under a foreign license that had been suspended or revoked. He was pulled over on Burma Road near the town line around 9:30 a.m. after officers observed his vehicle leaving its lane of travel and nearly striking a guardrail, police said. He was issued a District Court summons and released.

Lydia Rivera-Rodriguez, 35, of 3255 East Main Road, was charged with operating a vehicle under a foreign license that had been suspended or revoked. Her vehicle was pulled over on East Main Road at Park Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. because she was observed to be traveling too closely to the vehicle in front, police said. She was issued a District Court summons and released.

Albert E. Loomis, 57, of 24 Barden Lane, Warren, was charged with driving under the influence, first offense, shortly before 10 p.m. According to police, officers approached Loomis’s vehicle after observing it turn into a closed business (Frank’s Auto Repair, 595 Park Ave.) and idle in the parking lot. Loomis was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.
