Police made four arrests between March 11-18, 2024, including a 17-year-old who was found in possession of a vast quantity of marijuana vapes.

Warren PD: Juvenile arrested for possessing large quantity of marijuana vapes

Monday, March 11
Police received a complaint about a Metacom Avenue residence regarding chickens and a rooster at 8:43 a.m.

Bristol County Water Authority was notified at 2:10 p.m. of a metal object protruding from the road on Main Street.

A resident called police to check on the wellbeing of an Amazon delivery driver after they had not delivered their package despite receiving an alert they were in the area. The driver wasn’t located.

Tuesday, March 12
A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested at 8:08 a.m. on Market Street after being caught with vape cartridges. They were charged with manufacture/selling/possession/intent to deliver controlled substances (marijuana in excess of 5 kilograms, first offense), and conspiracy (felony, less than five years).

A wallet was reported stolen on Metacom Avenue at 11:11 a.m.

Police requested a rescue for a woman on Main Street at 4:17 p.m. who may have been intoxicated and was reportedly causing a disturbance.

Haydon P. Wager, 23, of 162 Woodman Terrace, Hanson, Mass., was arrested after turning himself in on an active warrant at 5:24 p.m. He was charged with two counts of domestic violence (cyberstalking and cyber harassment, and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). He was arraigned and released later that evening.

A loose goat was reported on Barton Avenue at 11:22 p.m. It was returned to the owner shortly after midnight.

Wednesday, March 13
A Bridge Street resident reported at 4:51 p.m. that they thought they had been the victim of a scam.

A caller reported at 5:05 p.m. that their child had been threatened by another juvenile while at school.

Thursday, March 14
Police visited Asylum Road at 11:33 a.m. to check on the report of a student who had claimed to have “easy access to weapons.”

A caller reported a raccoon possibly being stuck on a roof on Child Street. The building owner said that the raccoon had been living up there, and an exterminator was called around 7:08 p.m.

Friday, March 15
Wires were reported down on Franklin Street at 9:27 a.m. They belonged to Verizon, who was notified at 9:55 a.m.

Saturday, March 16
Police responded to Burr’s Hill Park at 1:56 p.m. after receiving reports that a woman was asking people in the parking lot if they wanted “Easter crack.” Police caught up with the individual, who said she was offering “Easter prayers.”

Sunday, March 17
Police responded to Wood Street after receiving a report at 5:17 p.m. that several people on motorcycles entered the rear yard of an unoccupied residence. Officers found they were general contractors who were looking at the property.

Police responded to Child Street at 9:16 p.m. after receiving a report from a woman who believed another person might have access to their Amazon account, because the light on her Alexa was changing brightness without her action. Police said it was perhaps a malfunction of the app, and there was no proof the man had access to the account.

Monday, March 18
Paulo J. Pereira, 51, of 108 Majestic Ave., Apt. #1, Warwick, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. following a motor vehicle stop on Roseland Avenue. They were charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. They were transported to court later that morning.

Police received two reports of three gunshots coming from the area of Kelly Street. They searched the area and talked to people nearby, multiple of which did not hear the shots.
