Have you enjoyed seeing flowers blooming in the large blue planters on Warren’s downtown streets over the last six years?
Because of the critical budget situation, this year the Warren Volunteer Gardeners (WVG) were not funded by the town and will need your financial support to help the beautification program to continue.
The donated funds will help to buy needed flowers, soil, mulch and fertilizer for the spring, summer and fall seasons. “We’ll need about $50 per pot to purchase flowers and supplies,” Elizabeth O’Connell, WVG director, said. “Some of our generous merchants have donated money to see the program continue. We have sprouted some seeds and have some perennials that we can use, but to fill all the pots, we will need more donations. Otherwise, the program will be limited to only about seven pots.”
If you are interested in seeing our streets looking colorful and are able to donate, please contact Elizabeth and Kara at warrenvolunteergardeners@gmail.com.
