A 74-year-old Barrington man who suffers from schizophrenia was reported missing earlier this week.
The sister of Michael Dalessio said her brother was last seen on Monday morning, March 22. Police issued a notice on Tuesday, and shortly thereafter received a phone call from a hotel in Providence.
Barrington Police Chief Dino DeCrescenzo said an employee at the hotel recognized Mr. Dalessio from a news report on television. The employee said the man appeared to be fine.
Police said Mr. Dalessio may have taken a bus into Providence on Monday and checked into a hotel, police said. Detectives also ran a check on Mr. Dalessio’s phone multiple times earlier this week and it pinged in the Providence area.
