Barrington resident reports possible ‘porch pirates’ in Rumstick area
Police unable to locate suspects
A Barrington resident called police on Wednesday, Dec. 6 to report possible “porch pirates” — people who steal packages after they are delivered to others peoples’ homes — in the Rumstick area of town.
The caller told police the porch pirates has been in the area of Ronald Road.
Officers responded to the scene and searched for the suspects but could not locate them.
Police spoke with a landscaper who was working in the area. He described the suspects as two males wearing hoodies and masks. Police said they had not received any calls from residents in that area whose deliveries had gone missing.
