Officials say Phase I of the plan has changed

Posted

The Barrington Park and Recreation Commission will hold a special meeting on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Peck Center for Adult Enrichment to discuss the Haines Park athletic fields plan. The meeting is open to the public.

Commission members are expected to hear from the youth sports leagues in town regarding the proposal. The plan has been split into two phases — Phase I includes the development of a multi-use field and relocation of a Little League baseball field at the western end of the park; Phase II calls for the creation of a multi-use field near the eastern entrance of the park.

A member of the commission recently confirmed that some changes have been made to Phase I of the plan.

Earlier meetings focused on the Haines Park plan were geared more toward the residents who live near the park
