Joseph A. Lonardo, Jr., 51, Barrington

Joseph A. Lonardo, Jr., age 51, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 15, 2022 comforted by his family at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center.

Born in Providence the son of Joanne (Silva) Lonardo of Barrington and the late Joseph A. Lonardo, Sr. he was a longtime resident of Barrington before relocating to Colchester, Vt.

A graduate of Barrington High School, he earned a degree in mechanical engineering from New England Technical Institute. A skilled mechanic he worked in the trucking industry for many years. A race car enthusiast, he enjoyed NASCAR and working in the pit crews in Vermont and Massachusetts. His bike being a passion he was a member of several local chapters of the Harley’s Owners Group.

In addition to his mother he is survived by two brothers, Jeffery Lonardo of Barrington and James W. Lonardo and his wife Jennifer of Valrico, FL; three step-daughters, Janel, Maisie and Kori; three step-grandchildren, Kylie, Jaxen and Ember; several nieces and a nephew, two great nieces and his girlfriend, Carolyn Silveira.

His funeral service will be Saturday, March 5 at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, 341 Maple Ave., Barrington. Visiting hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to Hope Hospice, 1085 N. Main St, Providence, RI 02904 or to CCALS, P.O.
