To the editor:

We are so very fortunate in our town to be blessed with many proactive individuals. Together they work hard to ensure that the residents of this town are kept abreast and enlightened...on so many levels.

As a senior citizen I have found that what has added to my continued growth as an individual is "education". Last Saturday was such an occasion. Our community engagement librarian, Siobhan Egan, with the support of Kristin Chin, library director, and all their associates brought to our community a show produced by the BaySide Pride.

Where do I begin. Yes this was my first drag show (it won't be my last). The participants were warm and engaging women and men who helped bring joy to the audience. Maybe I might have been the oldest but our beautiful theatre was filled with families and yes many with young children.

We all came together as one and was entertained. Laughter was in abundance and the players were amazingly talented.

I felt so very fortunate to live in a community were can open our hearts and let the world come in.
