Louise M. Beirne, 84, of Barrington

Louise M. Beirne, 84, of Fountain Avenue, Barrington, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence T. Beirne for 61 years.

Born in Fall River, Mass., a daughter of the late Albert Pelissier and Bertha (Verville) Pelissier-Paquet and step-daughter of Joseph Eugen Paquet, she lived in Barrington for 61 years.

She was a real estate agent for 45 years before retiring in 2014.

Louise was a graduate of Bryant College School of Business. 

She was a communicant of St. Luke Church. She was a member of the Barrington Women’s Club and its bowling league. She was a season ticket holder at PPAC and Trinity theaters. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, cooking, traveling, going to the beach and spending time with her loving children and grandchildren. She was famously known for her homemade chicken soup which she shared with friends and family.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Michele P. Cross and her husband Russell and their daughter Rachel of Barrington, Claudia L.  Beirne and her children, Patrick and Sydney of Barrington, Matthew E. Beirne and his partner Sean Fitzgibbons of Lake Balboa, Calif. and her granddaughter, Nikki Lee Beirne of Long Island, NY; a brother, Roger Pelissier of Swansea, Mass. and a sister, Michele Finn of Middlebury, Conn. She was the mother of the late David L. Beirne and Michael J. Beirne.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road Barrington at 10 a.m. Her burial will be private. For those unable to attend, the funeral will be live-streamed on the St. Luke Facebook page.
