Police: Bicyclist damages car mirror during incident in Barrington

Police unable to locate suspect

Posted

A motorist called Barrington Police on Thursday morning, March 16, following an incident with a bicyclist.

The female motorist told police she was driving down Lincoln Avenue with her young child in the car at about 9:30 a.m. She said that when she stopped at an intersection a bicyclist approached her vehicle, knocked on her window and when she put it down, the man started yelling at her.

The woman said the bicyclist — an older male with a beard — also bent back her car mirror. Police said it was not clear why the bicyclist acted so aggressively toward the female motorist.

Police searched the area for the man but could not find him.
