Posted

Barrington police charged Mikeal Jamal Mollock, 28, of Providence, with domestic-simple assault, domestic-disorderly conduct, and violation of a no contact order, following a “rolling domestic” situation on Sunday afternoon, May 23.

Police received a phone call from a Barrington resident at about 5:48 p.m. when he allegedly saw Mr. Mollock throw a female out of his vehicle, and then grab her and put her back into the vehicle.

The reporting party said the woman was screaming for help.

Police later located the suspect’s vehicle in the area of Ormand Street and Grassy Plain Road, and allegedly observed Mr. Mollock grabbing the female passenger.

The officer took out his taser, and then allegedly saw Mr. Mollock reach back inside his vehicle. The officer then removed his gun and ordered Mr. Mollock to exit the vehicle with his hands raised. Mr. Mollock allegedly followed the orders and was placed in handcuffs.

Police said the female passenger was very uncooperative during the incident. It was later discovered that she had a no contact order against Mr. Mollock, police said.
