Ron was the beloved husband of Christine Huong Montgomery for 52 years. He was also the father of the late Kristopher Ronald Bui Montgomery.

Ron was the son of the late H. Lester Montgomery and Estelle M. (Rushlow) Montgomery.

Beside his wife, he is survived by a sister Carol A. DeSousa, of Barrington, RI, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Faye E. Pratt.

He grew up in Barrington, attended Barrington school, class of 1957. Then he attended East Coast Aero Tech, which took him to the skies.

His career took him all over the world, working for Pan American Airlines (Pan Am), where he met his wife Christine in Vietnam. Then onto a longtime career with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a Senior Security Agent, followed by many years of aviation consulting while retired.

Ron was a long-time Boston Red Sox and Patriots fan. Ron enjoyed being his son’s soccer coach and rooting on Christine and Kristopher’s tennis matches.

Ron took his last flight to Atlanta, Ga., where his services were held at the Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Ga.

To honor Ron’s wishes, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Chua Quang Minh (Buddhist Temple), 1168 Benteen Ave. SE, Atlanta, GA, 30312.
