Two years ago, right on the heels of their successful, award-winning production of “Tommy”, the Bristol Theatre Company was asked to vacate their home of several years in the Bristol-owned Reynolds School building on High Street, which became the headquarters for the Bristol Warren school administration. Since then, they have searched high and low for an (affordable) place to call home, their sets and costumes stored away for that hopeful day.
It has not quite come yet, though the group has found a temporary place to stage their next production, courtesy of St. Philhomena School in Portsmouth, which will allow the BTC to lease space for a tech week followed by a production in early August. Until then, rehearsals — and first, auditions — will be a nomadic affair.

Children aged 7 to 18 are invited to sign up for an audition slot at this link.
Actors should come prepared to sing a song from the Disney’s Descendants: The Musical. BTC asks audition hopefuls to please bring your device or send them a link in advance to the backing track instrumental you use to rehearse your audition song.
There will be a participation fee associated with the show, $125 for any child under 16 who moves forward with joining the cast of Disney’s Descendants: The Musical. For families with more than one child, the fee will be $225 per family. This fee helps to offset the high costs of show rights, lighting, sound, costumes, etc. Scholarships are available to those who may need assistance.
