PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School girls’ and boys’ indoor track teams finished in fifth and 10th place, respectively, among Class B squads in the Rhode Island Class Championships held Saturday in Providence.

Competing at the Providence Career & Technical Academy, the girls scored 47 points as a team, and the boys finished with 14. Barrington dominated Class B, with the boys scoring 229 points as a team and the girls, 153.

Here are all the results from PHS athletes who contributed in scoring for the Patriots

Girls

Lucy Tate, a sophomore, came in second place in the long jump with a best leap of 17 feet, 7 inches.

Eleni Drosino, a senior, came in third in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:11.61. She was followed by freshman Sienna Adams (fourth place), 5:12.05, and Meg Adams (fifth), 5:16.31.

Two freshmen came in fourth and fifth place in the 1,000-meter run. They were Meg Adams and Sienna Adams, who posted times of 3:30.78 and 3:31.57, respectively.

Reilly Porado, a senior, took fifth place in the 600-meter run in a time of 1:50.94. Drosinos came in eighth place in a time of 1:56.03.

The 4x200-meter relay team of Lucy Tate, Lydia Carmeron, Olivia Leech and Reilly Porado came in fifth place with a time of 1:59.08.

Eva Shumski, a freshman, took sixth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 12:21.94.

In the shot put, junior Paige Costa and sophomore Emma Gervelis made throws of 26 feet, 8.25 inches and 25 feet and a quarter-inch, to come in seventh and eighth place, respectively.

Boys

Henry Schmidt, a senior, came in second in the 300-meter dash with a time of 37.62 seconds.

Steven Harvey a senior, came in fifth place in the shot put with a best throw of 40 feet, 3.5 inches.
