Rescuers reported no critical injuries when four vehicles collided on Route 24 Sunday afternoon, one of them ending up on its roof.
The accident closed down a portion of Route 24 south just after the William S. Canning Boulevard exit while responders cleared the scene and attended to those involved. Members of the Fall River Fire Department assisted in the response.
Police reported that the accident occurred after a vehicle turning on to Route 24 South was hit by an oncoming car. The impact caused the first vehicle to flip, while two other cars nearby ended up striking the other vehicles.
