2024 is the year the World’s Shortest St. Paddy’s Day parade got big.
Thousands of people crowded into Little Compton Sunday for the third annual parade, started as a joke in 2022 by the Kinnane brothers of Little Compton, their families and their friends. Though it was a smaller affair its first two years, it took off this year, after Adamsville’s rivalry with Hot Springs, Ark. — also home to a “World’s Smallest” St. Patrick’s Day parade — became nationwide news.
Parade-goers traveled from as far as Florida, and Green Road, an Irish band just finishing up a tour of the United States played after the parade as the celebration's grand finale.
More on the parade later. But for now, here’s a few photos from Adamsville’s big day.
