President Joe Biden and Republican challenger Donald Trump easily won Tuesday’s primary in Westport, far outnumbering their lesser-known candidates in townwide voting.
Unofficial votes show Biden carrying Westport with 1,332 votes, nearly 15 times the amount won by Dean Philips.
On the Republican side, Trump won 1,473 votes, about 33 percent more than second place finisher Nikki Haley. Haley dropped out of the race Tuesday after results in multiple states mirrored those in Westport. Other Republican finishes included Ron DeSantis with 21 votes, and Chris Christie with 10.
