Westport police arrest four in unrelated offenses

Monday, Oct. 2

Police responded to Robert Street shortly after 9 a.m. after a resident complained that a car had been broken into.

Larceny, forgery and fraud calls came in from Sanford Road (1:39 p.m.) and Glen Road (5:31 p.m.).

A 911 caller reported an accident with injuries at Reed and Barton roads.

 

Tuesday, Oct. 3

A Hix Bridge Road resident complained just after noon of larceny, forgery or fraud.

A caller from Monique Drive reported at 2:16 p.m. that a car had been broken into.

A 911 caller reported a disturbance on Borden Street at 6:12 p.m.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 4

Police served a restraining order on Sanford Road at 1:43 p.m. They had les luck while attempting to serve on Jennings Way at 5:44 p.m.

A caller from His Bridge Road reported threats just before 5:30 p.m.

 

Thursday, Oct. 5

Police served a summons on Jennings Way at 9:38 a.m. Later, they tried but were unable to serve a restraining order on State Road at 5:35 p.m.

A caller from Route 88, near Charlotte White, lodged animal complaints at 9:54 a.m.

A 911 caller reported an accident with injuries on American Legion Highway at 7:51 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 6

A caller reported a suspicious person on American Legion Highway at 9:39 p.m.

A 911 caller reported an accident with injuries on State Road at 10:56 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 7

A 911 caller reported a disturbance on Meadow Road at 3 p.m. Police got another call about a disturbance on the same road just before 10 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 8

Juliah Beauvois, 21, of 1370 Broadway, Apt. 8F, of Somerset, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, after police pulled her over on Old County Road at 2:26 a.m., following a 911 call about a suspicious car in the area.

Kanadey L. Bessette, 33, of 1212 S. Main St., Fall River, was arrested on four unspecified warrants after a caller reported a suspicious person on State Road at 8:40 a.m.

Richard L. Sisson III, 33, of 355 Charlotte White Road, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lands violations, failure to notify the RMV of a name/address change, and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, after police received a call about an accident at Sodom Road and Narrow Avenue at 3:39 p.m.

A 911 caller reported an accident with injuries at State Road and Route 88 at 6:37 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 9

An R Drive resident reported larceny, forgery or fraud just before 9 a.m.

A caller from Third Avenue asked police to keep the peace at 10:17 a.m.

A 911 caller reported a disturbance on Drift Road just before 5 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 10

A Beeden Place resident reported a neighbor dispute just before 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 11

A 911 caller reported a suspicious person on Beeden Road at 12:45 a.m. Police deemed the report unfounded.

A Charlotte White Road resident reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 9:13 a.m.

A 911 caller from Drift Road reported an unwanted person at 3:06 p.m.

A 911 caller from Old County Road reported breaking and entering into a motor vehicle.

A Drift Road resident reported being threatened at 7:16 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 12

Jordan Michael Miranda, 26, of 250 Horseneck Road, was arrested at his home on three unspecified warrants.

An Old County Road resident reported identity fraud at 6:10 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 13

Police tried but were unable to serve warrants at Ridgeline West Drive (9:33 a.m.), Borden Street (9:44 a.m.), Sanford Road (9:59 a.m. and 10:37 a.m.), American Legion Highway (10:22 a.m.), Briggs Road (10:45 a.m.), and Grand Pine Way (10:56 p.m.).

A caller from American Legion Highay reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 2:42 p.m.

A 911 caller from Hunters Way reported suspicious activity at 4:07 p.m.

911 callers reported accidents with injuries at Old Bedford Road (4:23 p.m.) and State Road (4:28 p.m.).

A 911 call about a suspicious car, called in from Main Road at 10:52 p.m., was deemed unfounded.

Saturday, Oct. 14

A 911 caller reported a suspicious person on Main Road at 12:44 a.m.

Police served a restraining order on State Road at 11:47 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 15

A caller reported a suspicious person on Almada Street at 2:24 a.m.

A 911 caller lodged animal complaints from Route 88 and Old County Road at 11:39 a.m.

A Longwood Drive caller reported identity fraud at 4:48 p.m.

A caller from Hunters Way filed a noise complaint at 7:43 p.m., but police deemed it unfounded.

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once.
