Following is an overview of Westport Police activity from April 29 to May 5.
Monday, April 29
Animal complaints came in from Gabriella Drive at 8:47 p.m.
Rene Valois, 75, of 1024 Norman St., Fall River, was charged with operating under the influence and cited for marked lane violations, after a 911 caller reported an accident with injuries on State Road just after 10:30 p.m.
Police pulled over two vehicles and issued one citation over the course of the day.
Tuesday, April 30
Animal complaints came in from Old Pine Hill Road at 6:11 a.m., and from Hix Bridge Road at 11:42 a.m.
A caller reported a brush fire on Charlotte White Road at 10:50 a.m. Police transferred it to the fire department.
Police tried but were unable to serve a restraining order on Washington Street at 1:27 p.m.
Police pulled over five vehicles and issued one citation over the course of the day.
Wednesday, May 1
A 911 caller reported a suspicious person on Main Road at 4:35 a.m.
A Sodom Road resident reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 3:33 p.m.
A caller from Amory Petty Way reported a suspicious vehicle at 5:33 p.m., but police deemed the report unfounded.
Police pulled over three vehicles and issued two citations over the course of the day.
Thursday, May 2
Animal complaints came in from Old Harbor Road at 8:25 a.m., and from River Road at 5:08 p.m.
A 911 caller from American Legion Highway reported a stolen registration plate at 905 a.m.
A noise complaint came in from R Drive at 9:20 a.m.
Steven P. Carvalho, 46, of 239 South Main Street, Freetown, was served with a warrant just before noon in Freetown.
A Pine Hill Road resident reported identity fraud at 5:44 p.m.
Police pulled over eight vehicles and issued two citations over the course of the day.
Friday, May 3
A caller reported a suspicious vehicle on Milk Avenue at 5:37 a.m.
A road rage complaint came in via 911 from Route 88 at 6:50 a.m.
A 911 caller from State Road reported a robbery at 12:52 p.m.
An animal complaint came in from West Beach Road at 6:30 p.m.
Police pulled over 17 vehicles and issued seven citations over the course of the day.
Saturday, May 4
Jermaine Victor Bethune, 45, of 962 Rockdale Ave., New Bedford, was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop on State Road at 1:25 a.m.
An R Drive resident reported a neighbor dispute at 9:39 a.m.
A caller from Bassett Avenue asked police to keep the peace at 10:46 a.m.
Animal complaints came in from West Beach Road at 4:10 p.m.
Police pulled over seven vehicles and issued two citations over the course of the day.
Sunday, May 5
Tyson C. Cleaves, 48, of 123 Reed Road, was charged on multiple offenses following a 911 assault call placed at 2:01 a.m. from Reed Road. He was arrested on four warrants, and on charges of strangulation or suffocation, aggravated burglary and assault and battery.
Police pulled over two vehicles but did not report issuing any citations over the course of the day.
