Westport police charge man with DUI

Monday, Sept. 25

A caller reported an accident at Sodom Road and Narrow Avenue at 7:50 a.m. Another, with injuries, was called in via 911 from State Road at 9:59 p.m.

Police reported pulling over one vehicle over the course of the day, and issued no citations.

Tuesday, Sept. 26

Animal complaints came in from Beeden Road at 6:39 a.m.

A caller from Plymouth Boulevard asked police to keep the peace just before 9:30 a.m.

A caller reported an accident at Routes 88 and 195 at 12:40 p.m. Another, on Main Road, was reported at 2:26 p.m.

A caller from Main Road reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 3:30 p.m.

Police assisted after a caller from Main Road reported a disturbance at 11:05 p.m.

Police reported pulling over one vehicle over the course of the day, and issued no citations.

Wednesday, Sept. 27

Police investigated after a caller from Puddingstone Way reported a suspicious vehicle at 750 a.m.

A Robert Street resident reported a neighbor dispute shortly before 11:30 a.m.

A Watuppa Road resident alleged larceny, forgery or fraud at 2:30 p.m.

A caller from Kim Drive reported a suspicious vehicle just after 4 p.m. Police were unable to locate it.

A Cahoon’s Lane caller complained of property damage at 4:05 p.m.

A Beeden Place caller reported a neighbor dispute at 7:40 p.m.

Police reported pulling over two vehicles over the course of the day, and issued no citations.

Thursday, Sept. 28

Animal complaints came in from Horseneck Road at 7:18 a.m.

A caller from Sodom Road reported a motor vehicle violation at 9:24 a.m. A similar call came that came in from Tickle Road 31 minutes later proved unfounded.

Police tried but were unable to serve a restraining order on Main Road at 2:12 p.m. They were successful at 4:53 p.m., as they were serving a similar order on Tickle Road at 4:44 p.m. However, they were unsuccessful at a third location, hen they tried but were unable to serve on Russell Street at 7:29 p.m.

A caller from Bowen Avenue reported identity fraud at 5:42 p.m.

Animal complaints came in from Howland Road at 7:39 p.m.

A caller from Tickle Road reported the violation of a restraining order at 9:49 p.m.

A 911 caller reported a disturbance on State Road at 10:18 p.m. Police investigated.

Police pulled over five vehicles and issued four citations over the course of the day.

Friday, Sept. 29

A caller from State Road reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 9:53 a.m.

Police tried but were unable to serve a restraining order on Russell Street at 12:54 p.m. They tried again at 7:24 p.m. with no luck.

Police reported pulling over one vehicle over the course of the day, and issued no citations.

Saturday, Sept. 30

A caller reported an accident with injuries on Route 195 at 3:21 a.m. Another, called in via 911, was reported at Routes 88 and 195 at 10:33 a.m., and a third, also via 911, was reported at State and Davis roads at 9:44 p.m.

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle on Drift Road at 4:13 a.m.

Police tried but were unable to serve a restraining order on Russell Street at 10:15 a.m., and again at 2:44 p.m. They were also unsuccessful on Sodom Road at 6:48 p.m.

A caller from Cherry and Webb Lane lodged an animal complaint at 3:13 p.m.

A caller reported a disturbance on Sodom Road at 5:30 p.m.

Police did not report pulling over any vehicles over the course of the day.

Sunday, Oct. 1

Austin Gregory Medeiros, 21, of 396 Adamsville Road, Westport, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, after police pulled him over on Tickle Road at 1:51 a.m.

A caller from Monique Drive reported breaking and entering of a vehicle, at 8:22 a.m. A similar call came in from Robert Street at 10:29 a.m.

A 911 caller reported an accident with injuries on Route 88, at Hix Bridge Road, at 4:35 p.m.

Police reported pulling over two vehicles over the course of the day, and issued several citations.
